Okay, I already posted this in an Open Thread...but I wasn't getting any loving...
Resident Bush seems to now be blaming the troops for the activities at Abu Ghraib, although I believe that the government's position has been that the activities at Abu Ghraib were always the actions of a few "bad apples."
Of course the question is "What were the orders given to the soldiers at Abu Ghraib (and other detention facilities) regarding the treatment of prisoners, and who authorized the torture techniques used?"
John McCain has been mocking Obama's campaign for saying that McCain will be Bush's third term. Yet McCain can't explain anything that will change with him. He's supported Bush on practically all policy issues and most importantly supports Bush's unpopular stance on the Iraq war.
So what's a straight talker to do?
CNJ News- Intepid reporter Wry Twinger has obtained tapes of John McCain and his key advisors discussing his message and strategy.
McCain spokesperson Gertrude Crabapple has said that this is a severe breach of McCain's privacy, yet she neither confirmed nor denied the contents of the tape.
Below is a transcript.
I've seen quite a few comments here about how people aren't seeing a lot of McCain bumperstickers and lawn signs.
That's not surprising, he has sucky slogans!
So in the interest of bi-partisan politics, why don't we help out "our friend?"
Barack and Hillary met yesterday to discuss ??
Barack tried to keep it on the sly by slipping away from his Secret Service detail but word got out anyways.
This here's a participatory diary...join in with your own comments and let's laugh at McCain...
McCain's speech are so boring that...
The intrepid reporters at CNJ news have obtained a draft copy of Hillary's speech planned for NY tonight.
See the text below the fold.
Lately there has been a debate on sex education in American schools. There is a camp that proposes that students should be taught how to use contraceptives, safe sex methods, and the responsibilities and risks involved with having sex. Those in the other camp propose that abstinence only should be taught and that showing safe methods of sex only encourages the participation in sexual activities.
I agree with the abstinence-only camp and propose that this method be applied much more liberally to our academic policies.
Who is this woman? Who is Hillary Clinton?
Like her husband, Hillary is a woman with a big narcissistic ego.
It's obvious that Hillary still doesn't get it. After losses in Indiana (yes, I'll call a 1% victory a loss for her) and North Carolina, she continues to spout off about "electability." But what about the Traditional Media? Are they finally starting to get it?
TM News Service- Barack Obama has announced today that if elected he will be the first female president.
After watching Hillary's performance on Fox with Greta van Susteren this morning (detailed in this excellent diary) it's even more clear that she WILL NOT voluntarily do what is best for the party and drop out of the race.
Furthermore, she intends to take this all the way to the convention and the credentials committee.
If you think that this is as horrible as I do, look below to see what we can do.
There's nothing like a great catchphrase to come out of a campaign.
We've had "Where's the beef?"
Unfortunately Swiftboat went from being a noun to a verb.
And now we have "Going to Tuzla"
Dear Barack:
Last night Hillary "won" Ohio, Texas, and Rhode Island, and you "won" Vermont. But when it comes down to it Hillary only gained 27 a handful of delegates and you still lead by 86 over 100 delegates. Here's what I see happening and what I think you should do.
So it looks like John McCain is the presumptive nominee for president for the Republican party.
Let's face it, McCain makes Hillary and Barack look like Hannah Montana and the Jonas Brothers.
Hillary and Barack are for change...when McCain comes on the TV even senior citizens change the channel to Matlock.
So I'd like to start off this Friday morning with some "John McCain is so boring..." jokes.
Submissions are no just welcome but required!
Many have probably heard about the latest decision to allow the Frankenstein animals of the farm world, clones, into the food supply without any warnings or labeling. Dairy farmers are also allowed to give their cows rBGH (recombinant Bovine Growth Hormone) to increase milk production. Can what you don't know hurt you?
On the morn on the Iowa Caucuses our intrepid political reporter, Wry Twinger, sat down with Pete and Pat Hogsworth at the local diner to discuss their choices for tonight's caucus.
